Assassination Attempt? Putin’s Luxury Limo Erupts in Flames Near FSB HQ

A luxury limousine from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s official fleet exploded in central Moscow, intensifying fears over his security and potential internal threats within the Kremlin. The incident, reported by The Sun, occurred near the headquarters of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Lubyanka. A video of the burning vehicle has surfaced online, showing thick black smoke billowing from the car as bystanders attempted to assist before emergency responders arrived. The explosion comes at a critical time, following statements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suggesting that Russia could face a major setback in its war efforts. Zelensky has also made bold claims regarding Putin’s fate, stating, “Vladimir Putin will die soon,” His remarks were coupled with calls for the United States to maintain pressure on Moscow. Putin, 72, frequently utilizes these Russian-made Aurus Senat limousines, known for their advanced security features. The £275,000 armoured vehicle is considered a symbol of Russia’s political elite and has been gifted to international allies, including North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The explosion, however, has sparked new concerns about vulnerabilities in Putin’s security apparatus.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire began in the engine compartment before spreading to the vehicle’s interior. The cause of the explosion remains unclear, but initial reports suggest that the limousine was managed by the Presidential Property Department, which oversees Putin’s transportation. However, there is no confirmation on whether Putin or any high-ranking officials were inside the car at the time of the blast.

Given the location of the explosion near the FSB headquarters, speculation has arisen about whether this was an isolated mechanical failure or a deliberate act. The presence of emergency services at the scene suggests that authorities are treating the matter with significant concern. The explosion has intensified speculation about growing threats within Putin’s inner circle. In recent months, security measures around the Russian president have become increasingly stringent. According to The Sun, in Murmansk, ceremonial guards were subjected to body searches by the Federal Protection Service (FSO), a rare and extreme precaution that underscores Putin’s deep-seated fears. A former bodyguard revealed to a Russian broadcaster, “This is how much he fears for his life,” emphasizing that Putin has lost trust even in his closest aides. FSO agents have been observed inspecting garbage bins and sewer covers near locations where Putin is expected to speak, highlighting the heightened security concerns. Reports also suggest that the Russian leader wears bulletproof vests during public appearances and is surrounded by an extensive network of both visible and covert security personnel. The explosion has led to various theories regarding its origins. Some analysts suspect internal dissent within the Russian government, given recent reports of power struggles among political elites and military leaders. Others believe that it could be linked to external geopolitical tensions, particularly in light of Zelensky’s recent remarks.

Moreover, intelligence sources have long speculated about potential coup attempts within the Kremlin. While the Russian government has not officially commented on the cause of the explosion, opposition figures have been quick to question whether it was a result of sabotage. With Russia’s ongoing war efforts and international sanctions putting pressure on the country’s leadership, the possibility of an internal challenge to Putin’s authority cannot be ruled out.

The explosion of Putin’s luxury limousine near the FSB headquarters has triggered widespread concerns about his security and the stability of his leadership. While no casualties have been reported, the event has reignited fears of internal betrayals, external sabotage, or mechanical failure. As investigations continue, the world remains watchful for any signs of deeper instability within the Kremlin. Whether this incident was an accident or an orchestrated attempt remains to be seen, but it has undoubtedly added to the growing sense of uncertainty surrounding Russia’s leadership.
