MUHAMMAD YUNUS AND HIS RELATION WITH ANSARUL BANGLA TEAM

After the collapse of the Sheikh Hasina led government due to the student protests last year in Bangladesh, and movements reasoning to the quota related issues faced by Bangladeshi youth, a new Chief advisor of Bangladesh was appointed by the interim government– Muhammad Yunus. Muhammad Yunus is an economist, banker, and Nobel prize winner. Besides all these, Muhammad Yunus is also known for his relation with the Ansarul Bangla Team.

Ansarul Bangla Team also known as Ansar-al Islam Bangladesh or Ansarul Bangla. The Ansarul Bangla team leader named Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani, a spiritual leader of Bangladesh. He was greatly influenced by Al-Awlaki, killed by the US, he was suspected for building a terrorist network in Bangladesh for several years.

Ansarul Bangla team has its headquarters in Bangladesh and is being funded by Jamaat-e-islami which has its headquarters in Pakistan. Their moto is to create radicalized Islamic state.

Muhammad Yunus is believed to have close connections with Ansarul Bangla team as he releases Ansarul Bangla team leader who was arrested by Sheikh Hassina led government and the Ansarul Bangla team was also banned as there are various criminal and terrorist activities which the terrorist organization held responsibility of. One of the many terrorist activities by the group is killing a number of bloggers in Bangladesh. This was the time when Muhammad Jasimuddin Rahmani was arrested as was imprisoned for 5 years by the Hasina led government.

Once a group banned by Sheikh Hassina and now set free by the interim government of Bangladesh, is this the new Bangladesh the youth fought for? Why is another student movement in Bangladesh on a verge to commence?

The terror group was banned in the year 2015 and is responsible for the killing of 20 commoners including secular and minorities while seriously injuring another 39, says the data by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the University of Maryland.

This Ansarul Bangla team has been trying to cause terrorism in India as well, a number of times Ansarul Bangla team members were arrested from various parts of the country. This possesses a serious threat to the security of the Indian nationals. Recently, 8 members of the Ansarul Bangla team were caught by Special Task force from various parts of West Bengal, Assam and Kerala.

Various personnels from various parts of Assam for having connection with the Ansarul Bangla team, including women. Among these, a group stated that ‘Democracy ‘is the biggest enemy of Islam.
