The Aero India-2025 that is to take place between 10th -14th February 2025, Bangalore organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Department of Space, has already started its countdown as one of the major attractions of Aero-India 2025-Sukhoi SU-57 lands in Bangalore, India. More than 15 countries are going to participate along with their specialised aircrafts summing to exhibition of over 800 defence equipment in defence and especially aerospace.
The Russian Sukhoi SU-57 is one of the most powerful fighter aircrafts of 5th generation and double engine. It has been compared mostly to the American F-35, where the SU-57 has more capabilities. Amid all the debates relating to the defence deal of around 150 aircrafts, citizens are speculating SU-57 to be one of the top choices of the Indian government. But India has a bitter past with Russia during the aircraft career deal. Recently, as per an offer by Russia “Golden Deal” Russia has proposed for a joint production of SU-57 fighter jets in India.
With the existing war situation in which Russia is involved, many are speculating that Russai will not be able to mass manufacture these in Russia itself so, manufacturing these in India with an ecosystem development will be more suitable for both India and Russia at present.
Will India sign a deal with Russia? Will SU-57 be the best choice?
